Portable Appliance Testing
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a process in the UK designed to ensure that electrical appliances are safe to use. It involves a series of inspections and tests on electrical appliances to detect any faults or potential safety issues. Here’s an overview of PAT, including what it involves, its importance, and how it is conducted. All electrical appliances that are fitted with a 3-pin domestic plug amongst others are required to be tested on a regular basis to ensure that they are safe for employees or the public to use.
All electrical testing carried out by DACC Compliance is in full accordance with the IEE Code of Practise for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
Our engineers use only use the best and most up to date test equipment; the Seaward Prime Test.
